PSA: On Vicious Pit Bulls
One person kept asking her dog to do something, like sit, and then praising her by saying, “Good sit! Good sit! Good sit!” This, my friends, is a quick way to get your dog to disassociate the command (in this case, “sit”) with an action. Dogs don’t get that you’re saying they did a good job sitting. Say it once, say it only when you want your dog to do it, and chances are they’ll have a better idea what you’re talking about. Continue reading
